Questions we get asked most
Do I need to book, or can I turn up?
For tyres, punctures and wheel alignment you can usually turn up and we will fit you in the same day. For MOTs and servicing it is worth ringing ahead on 0161 274 3125 so we can hold a slot.
Can a tyre puncture be repaired, or do I need a new tyre?
Often it can be repaired. If the damage is in the central tread area, under 6mm across, and the tyre has not been driven on while flat, a repair is usually safe and far cheaper than replacing. Sidewall or shoulder damage cannot be repaired safely, and we will tell you straight if that is what we find.
How long does a tyre puncture repair last?
A correctly fitted internal patch-plug repair is permanent — it lasts the remaining life of the tyre. That is different from a roadside sealant kit, which is only meant to get you to a garage.
Should I get wheel alignment done when I fit new tyres?
Yes, it is worth it. If the alignment is out, a brand new set of tyres will start wearing unevenly within a few thousand miles. Checking the tracking at the same time protects the money you have just spent.
How long does an MOT take?
Around 45 to 60 minutes for a standard car. If something fails we will talk you through what is needed and what it will cost before doing any repair work.
Are you open on Sundays?
Yes — we open 10:00 to 13:30 on Sundays, alongside 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday and 09:00 to 16:30 on Saturdays.
